Happy New Year’s Eve, Peoria! Besides wishing you all a Happy New Year, we wanted to remind you PDC is not picking up trash or recycling on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2020. This will not affect Monday or Tuesday routes. For the rest of the week, please follow this schedule: If you are Wednesday, set carts out on Thursday. If you are Thursday, set carts out on Friday. If you are Friday, set out carts on Saturday. Yard Waste Pickup Ends Next Week

The city of Peoria’s yard waste pickup season ends next week on Friday, December 13, 2019. Materials include grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs, and brush and must be set out for collection in one of the following options: Use plastic or metal garbage cans that are between 40 and 45 gallons in size, with two handles, and a tight-fitting lid. Use wheeled carts that are either 65 or 95-gallon size.  Residents are encouraged to not use the city of Peoria trash carts for yard waste. Recycling Paper – Holidays Gifts

The holiday season is officially here. It’s a time of giving, joyous celebrations, and gathering with loved ones. It also usually means more trash and a lot of paper. The Recycling Partnership estimates we have 25% more trash between Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. Luckily, in Peoria, we have unlimited trash collection. If you have extra bags that will not fit in the trash cart, you can set those bags next to your trash cart each week.
