No PDC Service Changes Despite Friday’s Federal Holiday

July 1, 2020

Trash, recycling and yard waste – service as usual

Residents with a Friday pickup day may consider placing their cart out this Thursday evening if they plan to sleep-in the next morning. Friday, July 3, marks the recognition of the federal Independence Day holiday. While many local offices may be closed, Peoria Disposal Company (PDC) will be in business – picking up trash, yard waste, bulky waste and recyclables per usual.

Where and When?
Trash may be set out as early as 3 p.m. the day before pickup, but must be in place no later than 6 a.m. on a resident’s scheduled day to avoid missing a collection. Following collection, trash carts need to be moved back from the curb or alley to their storage location no later than 5 p.m.
